The Gospel of Thomas, found among the codices and manuscripts found in Nag Hammadi (also known as the Dead Sea scrolls), is a collection of 114 logia, or teachings, or sayings of Jesus Christ that were gathered by Judas Didymus Thomas, the disciple. Thought to be one of the most important religious archeological discoveries of the twentieth century, this Gospel, unlike the canonical gospels, paints an image of Jesus as a wisdom-loving sage, encouraging us to look within to our own Divine spark for insight and guidance on our spiritual journey. Join us as we explore, study and discuss these beautiful yet challenging logia that emphasize the value of the present, the imminence of the Kingdom of God and the journey from limited to unlimited consciousness.
This is the second part of an ongoing series; however one can join at any point. We will begin on Logion 40 and, contemplatively and reflectively, make our way through these sacred writings.
