The Prophets Bible Study
The Prophets Bible Study (via Zoom)
2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
Beginning May 14
Facilitator: Kelly Lemens
Donation: $35
A prophet in the Old Testament were those called by God to speak for God to the Israelites during chaotic and often violent times. Often warning them of the consequences that followed their separation from God, the overall message of the prophets called the Israelites back to God, reminding them of God's love and teaching them to follow God's way. Join us as we explore five themes that resonate throughout the Old Testament prophets. We will begin with an overview of the role of a prophet in Israelites history and in the community before exploring in depth each of the five themes. Participants will be encouraged to read various passages from the prophets both in preparation for the sessions and as part of the discussion.
(This book study will also read through the Scriptures; a Bible would be helpful to have on hand (no specific version needed))
Note: If you prefer to pay by cash or check in person, please register by emailing Kelly here.
