Summer Solstice meet Summer Self-Care
In ancient times, people were deeply connected to the seasonal rhythms of nature and lived close to the land. We too can reap the benefits of these seasonal rhythms by becoming more aware of the energy of each season and living in harmony with it.
The Summer Solstice marks the beginning of the summer season. It’s the doorway into a time that is fertile, abundant, fiery, energetic and active. Like with many things however, balance must be gained to counter this active, fiery energy in order to stay healthy.
This presentation will guide you to better understand the rhythm and energy of the Summer Solstice and the months that follow; to gain tips on body/mind practices to cool us during the summer months; information on what foods are most balancing in warm weather; and select meditations to de-stress and help you sleep better.
At the beautiful Mequon Nature Preserve you will be guided to better understand the energy and rhythms of nature during the summer season and how to better live in harmony and balance with it.
